Produce labels for the #15 and #20 cans

Corned beef and roast beef labels

Evaporated milk labels

Soluble coffee product labels

For the 10-in-1 Ration I have printed several different can labels. The original can size for the vegetables is of the 20-ounce capacity, traditionally called a "No. 2" can. However, this size is not the standard size you find in the stores anymore today.

To anticipate this problem we have reproduced the labels in both the original size (#20/500 ml) and in the modern 15-ounce size (#15/440 ml).  In the photo above the #15 size is standing on top of the #20 size for comparison. Make sure first which can size you can find locally. When ordering, please state the size you want.

These labels are recreated in cooperation with Frontline Ration.

#15 size labels €1.00

Can size: 300 x 407 (73 x 113 mm) / 15 ounces (440 ml)

#20 size labels €1.00

Can size: 307 x 409 (83 x 116 mm) / 20 ounces (500 ml)

Corned Beef labels €1.50

Roast Beef label €1

The 12-ounce truncated Corned Beef cans are still the same today with the twist key opening and two labels are available. These labels are specially die cut to follow the contour of the truncated cans. The Donald Cook’s label has a cut-out for the openings tab, the Famous Flavor has no hole and the tab needs to be pushed through the paper.

The Red Seal roast beef is not an exact reproduction but a new made design based on original images.

Evaporated Milk label €1

In the 10-in-1 Ration two small 6-ounce (170 ml) cans of evaporated milk were included. The size of these cans are roughly 2.5 inch in diameter and are about 2.5 inch in height (63 x 63 mm).

Two brands are available: Pet and Swift's evaporated milk.

Soluble Coffee Product label €1

Small cans holding one ounce of soluble coffee were included in the 10-in-1 Ration. The size of this can was 202 x 106 and is about the equivalent of the small modern 70 ml tomato paste cans.

To reproduce this product you should find the small tomato paste cans (#202 / 52mm) without the easy opening feature. Cut or drill carefully a hole in the bottom and wash out the tomato paste. Dry the rinsed can thoroughly. Fill the can through the hole with instant coffee powder and seal the hole with a round metallic sticker. Add the label.
